I’ve just updated my reviews page with links to my short August reviews for The Melbourne Review of Josephine Rowe’s short but punchy collection of stories Tarcutta Wake and Jennifer Mills’ The Rest is Weight. I’ve also linked to my reviews of Herman Koch’s The Dinner and, back in June, Ryan O’Neill’s The Weight of a Human Heart. (There’s evidently a lot of weight in the titles of short story collections!)
O’Neill’s stories were shortlisted today for the Queensland Literary Awards, as were Anna Funder ‘s All That I Am and Alice Pung’s memoir Her Father’s Daughter, both of which I reviewed a little while back.

Hi David, sorry but the August reviews are not coming up for me at that link. I’ll try looking in the August issue and let you know how I get on. Best, Genevieve
argh. It looks like they have taken the August issue down. Damn and blast.
Thanks Genevieve. Yes, I’m aware of that. It happened when The Melbourne Review changed the format of its website a few months back. I believe the older reviews will be returning eventually.
Good oh, thanks for that.
